A three-month project designed to improve 77-year-old bridge along a well-traveled Muskegon County road is set to begin today, June 28. The River Road bridge over Cedar Creek will be removed and replaced, bringing the bridge up to current specifications, said Muskegon County Road Commission Managing Director Ken Hulka. He said the current bridge structure is "functionally obsolete."
